The Talking Shop, which is currently based at 63 Hall Gate and part of the Doncaster Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service, will be moving to The Flying Scotsman Centre, St Sepulchre Gate West, Doncaster – near to the railway station – on August 19th.

The Talking Shop offers evidence-based talking therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy and counselling for problems including depression, low mood, anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.

The service is provided by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).

Tim Godley, Doncaster IAPT Team Manager at the Talking Shop, said: “We’re on the move. We plan to close our office at Hall Gate at 5pm on the 16th August and re-open on Monday, the 19th August at 9am at The Flying Scotsman Centre. We’re near the railway station and bus station, so easy to find and to access.”

The Talking Shop’s therapies are available free to Doncaster residents aged 18 years and over. Local people can self-refer into the service and access a range of talking therapies and information that includes prevention and self-help literature.
