Children’s Art Week is a UK-wide campaign instigated by Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education.
Thousands of projects for children and young people have taken place across the UK during CAW over the last few years. In 2021 Engage revised their focus for their work to; train the workforce, diversify the workforce, increase the profile and visibility of members’ practice, provide opportunities for members to debate and shape practice, and lead sector advocacy
In 2022, to support the advocacy work of the visual arts engagement and participation sector, Engage will launch a new campaign ‘Let’s Create Art‘ to celebrate the amazing health and wellbeing work delivered through the sector.
Engage is delighted that Children’s Art Week has been adopted by many organisations and individuals. We would therefore encourage you to make your own plans for CAW in 2022!
