Chair, Jon Finegold

Jon has been involved with Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) for many years, both in Doncaster and in Nottinghamshire. He is currently vice-chair of the Burns Practice PPG, and has been attending the monthly meetings of the Doncaster PPG Network (facilitated by Healthwatch) for the past five years. A qualified teacher, trainer and editor for books, training materials and websites, he is passionate about the need for effective – and timely – communication: both from the NHS to patients, but also from patients to the NHS.

Jon is a member of the Independent Monitoring Board at a local prison, a trustee of the Lady Ellerker’s Land Trust (which supports people in financial need in and around Cantley) and is active in the local community in many ways.  He has lived in Cantley with his wife Amanda, a retired psychotherapeutic counsellor, for the past six or so years.

Sarah Brown

With over three decades of experience, Sarah has been leading her own business, Inspire2Aspire, since 1991. Her work spans businesses, charities, social enterprises and the public sector, where she guides and inspires them towards greater success. Her book, "Winning by Being Good," reflects the lessons she has learned, offering tools and insights for anyone seeking to establish or enhance an organisation, while also making a positive impact on the world.

In addition to her role as a business leader, Sarah is an active community member. She served as the chair of Stainton Parish Council and was a parish councillor for 13 years. Currently, she is the Secretary of the Stainton Village Hall Trust and serves as a mentor to students. Her commitment to social causes is further highlighted by her appointment as a JCI Senator, for her contributions to the personal growth voluntary organisation. Her passion for Doncaster and her desire to improve health and address inequalities reflect her dedication to social impact.
